Therapy can be a valuable resource for anyone looking to understand themselves better, manage symptoms, and improve their overall well-being. There are many reasons you might seek psychotherapy, and the decision to do so is yours alone. Maybe you’ve been depressed, or anxiety is negatively affecting your life. It could be an eating disorder, grief, conflict, or stress. Perhaps you’ve been thrown into unexpected changes, like a career shift or a divorce. Or, you could be suffering under the weight of long-term psychological issues.
Even if you’re not sure why you’re feeling ‘off, or if you’d simply like to get more out of life through personal evaluation and expansion, talking to a therapist can provide the insight you need to move forward.
When you work with a therapist, you can expect to adopt new strategies for coping, learn how to be accountable for your own healing, enhance self-awareness, and prepare yourself for emergence into a renewed, more peaceful existence.

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that provides an estimate of the expected costs for medical or mental health services. It is part of the No Surprises Act, which aims to protect patients from unexpected medical bills. The GFE is required for uninsured patients or those who are paying for care out of pocket, and it must be provided before services are rendered.
The estimate outlines the anticipated charges for services, including any procedures, therapy sessions, or consultations, allowing patients to have a clearer understanding of their financial obligations. While it is not a bill, the GFE helps individuals plan for their care and make informed decisions about their healthcare or therapy. If actual costs exceed the estimate, patients may have the right to dispute the charges.

As we embark on this journey together, we'll start by gathering some important background information and completing a few questionnaires specific to perimenopause and menopause. These may include the Menopause Rating Scale (MRS), Greene Climacteric Scale, Perimenopausal Depression Scale (PDS), and Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire (MENQOL).
Initially, we'll meet for weekly psychotherapy sessions to provide a solid foundation for your treatment. As we progress, we’ll reassess and adjust the frequency of our sessions based on your needs and preferences. This will be a collaborative process, ensuring we tailor the treatment to support your unique experience.

You’ve undoubtedly faced challenging circumstances before and have done well in managing them. Seeking help doesn’t diminish your independence. In fact, recognizing when you need support shows a deep awareness and strength. Seeing your situation clearly, accepting it, and reaching out for help is the true essence of independence.
My aim is to provide you with practical resources and strategies to navigate life’s inevitable storms. With these resources, you can break free from destructive patterns, handle triggers with grace, and emerge stronger and more resilient, finding yourself in a better, more empowered place.
What are out-of-network benefits?
If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, it means they will cover a portion of the cost when you see a therapist who doesn't have a direct contract with your insurance company.
Unlike in-network providers who bill your insurance directly, with out-of-network therapists, you usually pay for the session upfront and then submit a claim for reimbursement.
Once you’ve met your out-of-network deductible, your insurance will often reimburse a portion of the therapist’s fee—typically between 50-80%. For example, after reaching a $1,000 deductible, your insurance may cover 50-80% of the session cost.
Having out-of-network benefits allows you to choose a therapist that best fits your needs and preferences, rather than being limited to in-network options.
